"We don't feel comfortable in front of a camera" - Wedding Photography fears
Hiya, my name is James and I am a Wedding Photographer in Somerset. I get asked this all the time... "we don't get photos together often", or "do you have any suggestions for how we can relax", or mostly "we don't feel comfortable in front of a camera".
You are not alone.
As mentioned in a previous blog, I love working with people and making them feel at ease. Two of the biggest pieces of advice I love to give out to couples is:
(1) Let's meet up, or let's book in a call
(2) Let's book an engagement, or pre-wedding photoshoot.
With the first piece of advice, it's simple. You get to hear what I sound like, how passionate I am, and we can meet at a place that is comfortable for you.
With the second piece of advice, you get to meet me in person, you get to see how I work, and you also get great photos of yourself and your partner at a special time in your lives together.
Rewarding Testimonials from Engagement & Wedding Couples
Here is a testimonial from a couple I met last summer that felt terrified in front of camera before booking an engagement shoot:
"We booked James for an engagement shoot so that we could get used to being in front of the camera and know what to expect before our big day. We both hate being photographed, so were super nervous, but James put us completely at ease ... so much so, we actually really enjoyed the experience!”…
…”James is incredibly talented. His understanding of light and attention to detail is impressive. Our engagement photos are stunning and made me cry (happy tears) when I first saw them. We will be going into our wedding feeling much more confident and are very lucky that James will be there to capture it." - Beth & Tom

What do you think? I bet you know where I am heading with this one?
Yepp, you guessed it... let's book in a call! https://calendly.com/justjamesweddings/pre-booking-call
Simply having a chat with someone can help massively. Doing something in a place of comfort will make you feel at ease. It is my job (and I love it), to reduce your fears in front of a camera and having an awesome experience.
Thank you for your time,
James
