Couple's sunset photos at Dillington Estate

As a Somerset wedding photographer, I’ve had the pleasure of capturing many stunning venues, but Abi and Josh’s wedding at The Cider Barn at Dillington Estate was one for the books. Nestled in the heart of the Somerset countryside, The Cider Barn offers a unique blend of rustic charm and elegance, making it the perfect setting for Abi and Josh's special day.

The morning began with a buzz of excitement as I split my time between The Apple Loft and Little Bank, two beautiful houses on the Dillington Estate. Abi and her bridal party were getting ready in The Apple Loft, where the light-filled rooms made for some truly breath-taking photos. The atmosphere was joyful and relaxed, with the mum helping Abi into her dress, and a few teary moments with her bridesmaids and they shared gifts. The natural light filtering through the windows created a soft and dreamy look that beautifully complimented Abi's bridal style.

Meanwhile, Josh and his groomsmen were preparing over at Little Bank. The house provided a perfect contrast, with its charming and cosy feel, giving me the chance to capture some candid moments of Josh with his friends and family, sharing laughs before the big moment. These intimate shots really highlighted the anticipation and excitement in the air. They also trumped the girls with this trending reel!:

The ceremony took place outside under an elegant awning at The Cider Barn, with the enchanting forest trees of Somerset as a backdrop. Abi walked down the aisle from the barn, and the sight of Josh’s expression as he saw her for the first time was truly priceless. The outdoor setting allowed me to capture the emotion and natural beauty of the ceremony, from the smiles of the couple to the joyful tears of their loved ones.

Following the ceremony, guests were invited outside The Cider Barn for the reception for drinks and games. On the flip side, the interior of the barn was beautifully decorated with rustic, wooden beams and twinkling fairy lights, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The speeches were heartfelt and filled with laughter, and the couple’s first dance under the soft glow of the barn lights was a moment to remember.

As the day drew to a close, we were treated to a stunning Somerset sunset. I took Abi and Josh outside for a few last-minute couple’s photos, and the golden light cast a magical glow across the landscape. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day, and the images we captured during those final moments were some of my favourites from the entire wedding.

Abi and Josh’s wedding at The Cider Barn was a joy to photograph. The love they share, the beautiful surroundings, and the warmth of their family and friends made for an unforgettable celebration. Congratulations once again, Abi and Josh! It was an honour to be a part of your day.
