Ali and Alex - Folly Farm Centre Wedding Photography

As an inclusive Somerset based wedding photographer, it’s always an honour to capture the love stories of diverse couples, and Ali and Alex's wedding at Folly Farm Centre was no exception. This beautiful LGBTQ+ wedding was a celebration of love, joy, and togetherness in the heart of the Somerset countryside.

Folly Farm Centre, with its rustic charm and breathtaking landscapes, provided the perfect backdrop for Ali and Alex's special day. Nestled within the Chew Valley, the venue offers a unique blend of natural beauty and comfort, creating an ideal setting for inclusive wedding photography.

The day began with excitement and anticipation as Ali and Alex prepared for their ceremony in seperate and modern preparation rooms. Surrounded by family and friends, their love story is a testament to the beauty of inclusivity, and it was evident in every detail of their wedding. From the matching bouquets and button holes to the personalized vows, every element was thoughtfully crafted to reflect their journey together.

As an inclusive wedding photographer, my goal is to capture these genuine moments that speak to the couple’s unique story. The morning preparations were filled with laughter and happy tears, as friends and family gathered to support Ali and Alex. The atmosphere was electric, with a palpable sense of love and acceptance.

The ceremony took place outside at Folly Farm Centre, overlooking the beautiful Chew Lake. The rustic archway beams and Somerset sunshine created an intimate and summery ambiance, perfect for such a heartfelt occasion. Ali and Alex exchanged vows in front of their loved ones, their words filled with emotion and sincerity. It was a poignant reminder of the power of love and the importance of inclusivity in all forms of wedding photography.

Following the ceremony, the celebration continued with a lively reception. The barn was transformed into a vibrant space adorned with colorful flowers and twinkling fairy lights. Guests enjoyed a delicious feast, accompanied by heartfelt blessings, speeches and toasts that highlighted the couple’s journey and the strength of their bond.

One of the most memorable moments was the cake cutting. Ali and Alex cut their cake using a sword that had been crafted at Alex’s Hen do. Whilst alarming to the venue, it was a great moment to watch the couple have the greatest of fun in cutting their cake. Funnily enough a piece of fruit got pierced by the sword, which remained on there until Alex ate said fruit from the sword. The joy in their eyes and the smiles on their faces was a testament to the love they share. Capturing these unique moments is what makes wedding photography so rewarding.

The evening ended with a spectacular sunset over the rolling hills of Folly Farm Centre. Ali and Alex took a quiet moment together, soaking in the beauty of their surroundings and the significance of their day. As I snapped a few final photos, I felt grateful to have been a part of their journey and to have captured their love in such a meaningful way.

Ali and Alex’s wedding was a beautiful celebration of love, acceptance, and inclusivity. It was a day filled with laughter, plentiful tears, and unforgettable moments. As an inclusive wedding photographer, I am proud to document such important stories and to be a part of a community that values love in all its forms.

Congratulations, Ali and Alex, on your beautiful journey together. May your love continue to shine brightly and inspire those around you.
